Why I built CALIBRE

I was tired of paying for someone's opinion.

I've sent cards away, waited months, and got back a number with no way to know how they reached it — or whether the next card was judged the same way. So I built the grader I wanted: one that measures every card identically, publishes the standard, and shows its working. No mood, no mystery, no black box you can't see into.

How is CALIBRE different from PSA or CGC?

They hand you a number from a human grader against a private rubric. CALIBRE measures your card by instrument, against tolerances we publish, and gives you every number and image behind the grade — so you can verify it, not just trust it. Flat £12, back in days.

Is a deterministic grade actually accurate?

It's more than accurate — it's repeatable. The same card measured twice gets the same grade, every time: no fatigue, no mood, no rubric drift between graders. And you don't have to take our word for it: every measurement is shown against its tolerance, with the image it came from. If a number looks wrong, you'll see it.

What if I disagree with a grade?

Tell us. We'll re-measure the card free and show you exactly what the instrument captured. Because it's a measurement, not an opinion, there's something concrete to point at.

Is my card safe with you?
