If you're weighing up getting cards graded in the UK, the first question is usually the simplest: what does it actually cost? Here's a clear breakdown — no hidden upcharges.

CALIBRE pricing

It's one flat price per card. We don't charge more for holos, textured foils or high-value cards — the same pipeline runs on every card, so the fee is the same.

What about postage to us?

You arrange postage to send your cards in. We recommend a tracked, insured service, and you can add a Royal Mail Tracked & Signed label at checkout — we'll email you a label to print. See our guide to packaging and sending your cards.

How does that compare?

Grading with an overseas service means paying in dollars, paying for international postage both ways, and waiting weeks while your cards cross the Atlantic twice. Grading domestically in the UK avoids the customs, the currency conversion and the long wait. We cover this in our market comparison.

Is it worth it?

Grading makes most sense when it protects or proves value: a card you want to sell, insure, or keep long-term in guaranteed condition. A graded card is sealed in a tamper-evident slab with a verifiable certificate, which gives buyers confidence and you a permanent record of condition.
