Getting your cards to us safely is simple. Here is exactly how to package and send them so they arrive in the same condition they left — ready to be measured and graded.
1. Place your order first
Start your order online and pay before you post anything. That way we know your cards are on the way, and your order confirmation email gives you the exact address to send them to. You can track every step in your account.
2. Protect each card
Use a simple layered approach for every card:
- Soft sleeve first. Slide the card into a penny/soft sleeve so nothing touches the card surface directly.
- Then a semi-rigid holder. Place the sleeved card into a semi-rigid holder such as a Card Saver. These are ideal for grading — they hold the card firmly without the tight pressure of a hard toploader.
- Never tape the card. Do not put tape on the card, the sleeve, or inside the holder. If you want to secure things, a small piece of tape on the outside of a team bag is fine.
3. Stop it bending
Cards are almost always damaged in the post when a parcel gets bent. To prevent it:
- Sandwich the holder(s) between two pieces of rigid cardboard, or use a small rigid box.
- Add a little padding so nothing slides around inside.
- Use a padded/bubble mailer or a small box — not a plain paper envelope.
4. Choose tracked, insured postage
Always send your cards on a tracked and insured service so the parcel is covered in transit and you can see when it reaches us. When you order you can also add a Royal Mail Tracked & Signed label at checkout — we will email you a label to print, so you can drop your parcel at the Post Office without queueing to buy postage.
5. Send it and track it
Post your parcel to the address on your order confirmation. As soon as it reaches us we will log it in, and you will see it move through imaging, grading, encapsulation and dispatch in your account.
Quick do’s and don’ts
- Do sleeve every card and use a semi-rigid holder.
- Do use tracked, insured postage and pack against bending.
- Don’t put tape on the card, sleeve, or holder.
- Don’t send cards loose in a plain envelope.
- Don’t over-tighten — the card should slide out of its holder without force.
