Every slab that leaves CALIBRE now carries a new label — a bigger grade,
a cleaner layout, and full subgrades on the back. It didn’t come out of a design
meeting. It came from you: the comments, the DMs, the “can you make the grade
easier to read on stream” messages we’ve been collecting for weeks.
We read all of it. Here’s what changed.
What’s on the front
The card name, set and number sit clean at the top, under the CALIBRE mark. The
grade panel is wider and bolder — a number you can read from across a table, or in
a phone camera on a live stream, not just up close. The word underneath —
Gem Mint, Mint, whatever the grade earns — sits in
its own band so it never crowds the number. The cert number stays front and centre,
exactly where collectors told us to keep it.
What’s on the back
Flip the slab and you get the detail: Centering, Corners, Edges and
Surface, scored individually for both the front and back of the card, plus
the date it was graded. Next to it, a QR code that links straight to the public
report — scan it and verify the card on the spot, no typing a cert number in from
memory.
Nothing hidden. Everything checkable, in three seconds.
Why it matters live
A lot of the feedback came from sellers running live shows — Whatnot, eBay Live,
in-person breaks — where a slab only gets a second or two on camera before the
moment’s gone. A label that reads at a glance isn’t cosmetic there. It’s the
difference between a viewer trusting the grade and scrolling past it.
Already live
Every card graded from now on ships with this label — no separate tier, no fee,
nothing to opt into. If you’re holding an older CALIBRE slab, the grade and the cert
haven’t changed; only the label design has moved forward, and only for new
submissions.
